A Max by Ole Henrik Skjelstad
A Max by Ole Henrik Skjelstad
Tvindefossen, just outside Voss. For some reason unknown to me I opted for a Max Rive in the harsh sunlight. Due to the spray from the raging waterfall I deduced that using a zoom lens would be a great idea, and since I do not own one of those practical interval timers I had my wife to push the camera release button (and wipe off spray which found its way to the filter despite the distance the zoom lens offered). Whenever the area in front of the waterfall was empty of tourists I sprinted to my position trying to strike a relatively intelligent pose which I hoped I could maintain for 0.5 secs, a pose which is a far cry from Max’ epic poses. A thumbs up and my wife pushed the button – a thumbs up from her and I sprinted back to view the resulting image. An algorithm that was repeated trice. The third was total failure since I found it wise to change position after I had given her my thumbs up, and hence I ended up as a blurred unidentifiable object. A Nisi 6 stop filter was used to slow down the exposure.

Patagonia magic by Daniel Kord...
Patagonia magic by Daniel Kordan
So, let’s look back a month ago when we were camping and hiking under Fitzroy (Chalten) mountain. It looked like everyone from my group had ants in the pants, so we were exploring and creating almost the full day and night long. But night theme was among our favorites. At nights things around you become magical, especially when you see and feel the castle of Fitzroy mountain far above your head with its glory and strict beauty. In the night Fitzroy is framed by autumn leaves, moon and stars. The first days of our camping it was really cold in the night and frost fell on the lens very fast. So we were warming up by cleaning hardly our lenses, surrounded by beautiful Patagonia trees in the forest. Half of duplicates were lost due to the high humidity, but some images had a kind of magical look: brightest stars had this amazing shining structre, which I hope will represent some of the magic of that cold Patagonia night.

Spotify launching 12 new video...
Spotify, one of the biggest music streaming services in the world, is branching into video and offering subscribers 12 new series focused on original, exclusive performances. While some of the series will focus on interviews with different artists in a variety of venues around the world, others will include live performances from the Spotify office (think NPR's Tiny Desk series), according to Variety. Once the data is collected and examined, Spotify will bring a popular artist to that city, with the goal of the series to highlight the different taste of music listeners across the United States.
