At the moment I’m reprocessing some of my most fav shots of my portfolio. Unfortunately, 500px won’t let me just replace the images with the newer versions… my apologies for those who already know the shots…

Took this shot about 4-5 years ago when I started to go more serious in photography. So this one will always be something special to me. Hope you guys like it. cheers

Zombies by Ole Henrik Skjelsta...
Zombies by Ole Henrik Skjelstad
The title refers to the fact that my now and then overactive imagination gets this idea that there are zombies in the dark hiding among the trees just waiting for an opportunity to attack from behind since they are some darns cowards. This of course very often turns night shooting into a real pain. The thing is that I am still alive and I am not sure if that is because I am so on the alert or because there are no zombies. Have you heard what's playing at the Toronto International Film Festival this year? Several intriguing new music documentaries have made it their stopping-off point, including everything from profiles on jazz musicians John Coltrane and Lee Morgan, Iggy Pop's band The Stooges, and The Beatles' early days, to Justin Timberlake, Chinese-American star Leehom Wang, and Malian world music star Fatoumata Diawara.

Brudesløret by Ole Henrik Skje...
Brudesløret by Ole Henrik Skjelstad
I organized my own workshop to Rondane National Park and Brudesløret (the Bride’s Veil) this weekend. I was my only client and I tried as best I could to teach myself various shooting techniques and compositional approaches. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to teach myself much processing these days. The workshop only costed me a 3/4 tank of gasoline, a bag of peanuts mixed with dried fruit and a coke. My brother didn’t charge me anything for the accommodation. This is a pano from six 16mm horizontals. The section containing the sun is a blend of three exposures. I spent 2.5 hours here shooting the waterfall to “death”. Shot with Nisi cpl and 6 stop filter. A heartfelt thanks to Max Foster for reviewing the image and for providing very valuable feedback. Photoshop tutorials: bit.ly/1TsCtWd and bit.ly/1R44xZm
