Pont des arts by Serge Ramelli

A morning on the Pont des Arts, I am doing my Paris in spring workshop and so me and my fellow photographers friends got up early to catch the sunrise and boy it was worth it! Sometimes I get disappointed in sunrises and it is a pain because you wake up early for nothing but this day it was amazing! One of the best sunrise I have ever seen in Paris! The key to get a good sunrise photo in Paris is to wake up before the first boat start going on the Seine river to get a smooth and flat water. Also today is my birthday and I really want to thank all of you guys for the nice birthday wishes and your constant support, because of you I can live my passion everyday and share it with you! Today I am doing -75% on all my courses to give back to you! Have a beautiful day and I will enjoy my last day of my Paris in spring workshop and take some cool photos of the Louvre!

Personal online lessons and video tutorials – outofsight@mail.ru. My own method. I dont use frequency separation, masks, curves and any complicated methods at all. It’s really simple and very fast. 15 minutes of work, and result is good enough for covers!

Hello everyone! After a lot of time, I’m posting a vertical here. I am pretty sure that it will look almost invisible among all these mega panos taking up all the place, but I like this a lot and I’m sharing anyway. Do you prefer the horizontal-green rendition or this one? You can find the other version a few photos back in my gallery. Let me know which is your favourite!
Have a great weekend everyone,
-Nicola

My Love Fades Away As Does The Evening Sun by The Narratographer

Are we ever in love with people, or just in love with the moments that would have been impossible without them? I think what I am really trying to say, is do they ever love us? Love is a word that is thrown around more often than most, yet do any of us truly know what it is we actually love? Is it even love at all, or simply a need fulfilment? Do we love what they do for us, how they make us feel about ourselves. Isn’t it true that once that need becomes unfulfilled, or if it simply disappears, that the love seems to ebb away just like the evening sunshine? Is it not also true that the more we love someone, the worse we seem to treat them. Not because we do not care, but because we are so terrified that they will one day see us for who we truly are, that we try to break them before they do. This is the reason that so many of us measure our love by the pain it causes us. Pain is the only way we can ever truly tell how much something means to us, how it makes us feel. We want control, we want power. We want to be the destroyer of worlds than to see our world torn down. But there is always collateral damage, an innocent someone caught in the firefight between you and you. I came here to fix you, but you ended up breaking me. These days, I do not truly believe that anyone loves anything. Such is the transient nature of things, with everything and everyone being replaceable at the click of a button, we have no need to love. Love is simply a word that people give to having a requirement met. It will soon die out and be replaced with something much more efficient. Love just simply isn’t needed anymore and soon, like the evening sun, it will soon be gone from the world.

Follow me on Facebook | Instagram | My website | Contact me | Click on “See More” for story and technical details Being silent in the dark silent landscapes of Alentejo, right by the border with Spain, surrounded by all kinds of unidentifiable and ever growing animal sounds, where everything becomes so much larger than us. As soon as the eyes adapt to such intense darkness, a surreal dome of stars fills the sky, and the elusive Milky Way progressively appears near the horizon, slowly rotating as the night advances. Even though the cold is slowly becoming too intense, winning the battle against the mupltiple layers of clothing, there’s a purpose in the persistence of the visit: to unveil what lies beneath the dark, and enter a world where elephants drink on top of bridges, stars become near confident neighboors, and light expands through every corner of our Universe. Location: Elvas – Ajuda Bridge Technical info: Sony a7R + Venus Laowa 12mm f2.8

Exposure: 30 seconds
