Yellow Minute by Nicola Pirond...
Yellow Minute by Nicola Pirondini
Hello everyone, today I’m sharing an image taken last year during one of my solo trips in the Dolomites. Some of you may already have seen this one, but I decided to fix some issues as I always do with most of my works. After months of looking at it, there were some distracting patches of snow and elements I couldn’t stand anymore. Since it’s one of my personal favourites, I decided to get rid of them. Can’t wait for the fall colours to come, and looking again at this scene makes me even more excited. Hope you enjoy and have a great day everyone!
-Nicola

Wings of Winter, Unfolded by D...
Wings of Winter, Unfolded by Daniel Herr
It is growing cold. Winter is putting footsteps in the meadow. What whiteness boasts that sun that comes into this wood! One would say milk-colored maidens are dancing on the petals of orchids. How coldly burns our sun! One would say its rays of light are shards of snow, one imagines the sun lives upon a snow crested peak on this day. One would say she is a woman who wears a gown of winter frost that blinds the eyes. Helplessness has weakened me. Wandering has wearied my legs. (Roman Payne)

☼ Orange giant ☼ by ☼ Eugene Banin ☼
I have long dreamed of finding a hornet. I knew that in our band they are, a couple of times noticed something orange, huge, sweeping past me with a roar and great speed, but I never saw them close.
This fall, I walked with my girlfriend on the islands of the Abakan River, the islands are huge, have a lot of ducts and can not always be reached by some of them. We were lucky, we went to the very bereg of the river and walked there collecting flowers and taking pictures.
It was evening, the sunset was already orange, we went down to the berg, I set the log so that she sat next to a large rotten poplar, I was ready to shoot and suddenly I heard a strong familiar noise in my head, I looked up and froze! Right above the poplar, split in two, in the place where the round dance was connected, dozens, huge humming hornets flew and flew away – there was a nest here.
Remembering all my knowledge about hornets, I ducked, grabbed the girl by the hand and ran with her from the tree. Hornets are not dangerous if there is no attack, but next to the nest they can attack the entire pack, so it’s better to leave this unpredictable neighbor sooner.
So this was an unexpected meeting, then I went alone to this island and found one who went down to drink some water hornet and took him home for a photo shoot. ☼
