Glimpse of Hope by Nicola Pirondini
An old work, taken in one of my favourite Dolomites spots ever. Can’t wait for this summer to be there again, as now in winter it is not possible to reach.
I hope you enjoy it, and make sure to view it in dark background for the best visualization!

Rush Hour by Marsel van Oosten
Rush Hour by Marsel van Oosten
This is the second one of my three images that were awarded at the international bird photography competition ‘Festival de l’oiseau et de la nature’ in France. This one features a bunch of whooper swans, shot on our White & Wild Japan tour. As a flock of swans was about to land in the water, I positioned myself so that I could get a semi-backlit shot with my wide-angle lens, and I selected a slowish shutter speed to capture both the motion and the chaos. With shots like this it’s a bit of hit and miss – because of the slow shutter speed it is impossible to precisely time the exposures or to frame the scene perfectly. So I guess you could say that I was just lucky. Marsel | squiver.com WEBSITE | FACEBOOK |

I am suspended in the moment. Flickering images faded with age, frozen thoughts hovering precariously in dead space, a whirlwind of memories that slice through my soul. (Tahereh Mafi)

I love the sounds and the power of pounding water, whether it is the waves or a waterfall.
