A glance at the Alps by Daniel Metz

In October the mountain meadows turn yellow and take on a warm color. But at altitude, the first snow is already there. The contrast between the Alpine stages is at its maximum. The three mountains are named “Les Aiguilles d’Arve” and the village is “Albiez Montrond”.

Under the Stars by Nathaniel Merz

Night photography is something I have never really gotten into, but with sunrise looking like it was going to be pretty flat and hazy, I have some night shooting a chance. The tree was ltt with my iPhone screen after I googled the color orange for just a touch of soft light. This is a 10 shot stack to try and reduce noise, but I wasn’t able to do the stars separately because I couldn’t get them to align, so there was a little but of blurring of the stars. Anyway, it was fun to look at the landscape in a different way and try to make something out of the less than ideal conditions.
