Hello everyone, hope you’re doing well! Spring is slowly progressing in the mountains and now it’s almost flowers time in the Dolomites. I’m not shooting from about a month now and I can’t wait to be back on the field in the next weeks.
About the image, here’s an old favourite from Iceland, one of my greatest memories from there, which was fading slowly down in my gallery. I want people to see my favourite stuff, so here you go. Hope it makes you feel something! Have a nice day,
-Nicola

Moonlit Sky by Timothy Poulton
Moonlit Sky by Timothy Poulton
North Ramshead With a gentle wind whispering in my ear. A bright moon gazes at me through the stars and my fear. Wandering through the tors, I marvel at its beauty. All shades of snow, covering the grounds on which I softly tread.
Sometimes I sense a wild brumby staring in wonder at my appearance.
And silently I watch, wondering if it’s are aware of what’s coming to them. But a strange unnatural noise in the distance startles the brumby,
and I see it speeding off.
I softly weep, for I know that
the days of comforting silence are coming to an end. Under a moonlit sky, I wander through the tors,
marveling at its beauty, the serenity, the natural silence. The sky is full of stars and wonder; It makes me weep.
I see some heavily mutilated animals, running towards me in panic.
I am shocked at the selfishness of the men who thought of this destruction. Of the earth on which I was born and raised. Under a moonlit sky, I wander through the tors,
a deathly silence around the scorched ghostlike shadows. Even for the Brumbies of the wild, there is no escape
from the wars which scorch the earth.
Defeat will mean the final death of us all.

After 38 years I am surprised how much evidence remains of St. Helens’ 1980 eruption.
