Dusk fell
and the cold came creeping,
cam prickling into our hearts.
As we tucked beaks
into feathers and settled for sleep,
our wings knew. That night, we dreamed the journey:
ice-blue sky and the yodel of flight,
the sun’s pale wafer,
the crisp drink of clouds.
We dreamed ourselves so far aloft
that the earth curved beneath us
and nothing sang but
a whistling vee of light. When we woke, we were covered with snow.

HARMONY I – Silence and Dynamism – Grand Nikko Tok by Naoki Fujihara

I create this series of photographs with a vision to express the harmony and dynamism of a cityscape. Generally, buildings and railroads are built independently. They are not considered their harmony. But seeing them from a particular viewpoint, railroads and buildings are well-balanced. They are in harmony with each other and they create dynamism in a cityscape. Not only expressing the harmony and dynamism of a cityscape, but I also want to present an importance of seeing a subject from a particular viewpoint. This is the vision and what I want to express in this series of photographs. ● SNS
