A beautiful clear night in the Lofoten Islands, watching the aurora from a hill overlooking the fjords. I had been up for 20 hours when I took this photograph, but was lucky I persevered because there wasn’t another night quite as clear and bright as this one for the rest of my trip.

———————————————————– The sunset was kind of mild due to many clouds hanging around . I saw two other photographers folded their tripods and headed out.. But the sky lit up again as if ignited by a spark from an old fire. I felt fortunate to have the patience to stay a bit longer. By the way, the place is actually called the Spark Lake.
