The Indian Rhinoceros (Rhinoceros Unicornis) also called the Greater one-horned Rhinoceros is a vulnerable population fragmented and restricted to the plains of Kaziranga in Assam. This image of the marching Rhinos in armor was captured from the basins of the Bhramaputra River. The magical play of light in monochrome is purely the result of processing for extreme contrast. Some of the millions of lonely Ghaf trees (typically 5-10m tall) growing in the colorful dunes of the UAE at sunrise. We had great skies a few weeks ago here, including thunder and the heaviest rainfall on record in Dubai one day. These clouds would be the prelude to a lot of moisture approaching one of the driest places on Earth, and I am sure the trees loved it.
