When I started creating an Epic Sunsets Sky Library, the first thing I did was shoot—A LOT.. After a few months of shooting, I selected and processed only the best and most epic skies. Then, I pulled a dozen images from my archives to test both the sky replacement process, as well as each individual sky itself, to make sure it fit into what ultimately became a final—and completely well rounded—collection. In this image, while Skylum Luminar made quick work of the sky, I had to mirror the reflection manually. Otherwise it was nearly a one button process. And that brings me to the next point. If you’ve read this far, you’ve also learned the answer is yes. The sky was replaced here. 😉 Follow the link to download the Sunsets. bit.ly/Download-Epic-Sunsets

Water rushing over some shallow rocks at the incredibly pure and pristine sands of Bales Beach. In the distance, cumulonimbus clouds formed as I made my way out.

Sentinel of Darkness! by Sunil
Sentinel of Darkness! by Sunil
Sentinel of Darkness! Fiercely guarding her nest is the spotted owlet. The sentinel of darkness. This naturally decorated hole in the tree is what she calls home and chosen for her eggs to hatch and chicks to grow. And Beware! she has her eyes on you.

Early next week I’ll be passing through Death Valley if it gets close to the world record for hottest temperature ever recorded, which it is forecast to do. Highs in some parts of the hottest deserts are supposed to reach 125F+ (51.6C) during the Sunday-Tuesday timeframe. The current world record which is scientifically correct and undisputed is 129F, just in case you were wondering…. Meteorology is what shapes most of my life. The study of it was my first love at a very early age. Knowledge of weather is essential to my landscape photography and its extremes compel me to to travel. Just last week I was inside an ice cave in Alaska and today I am chasing thunderstorms along the AZ/Mexico border. On the ice cave shot: I jusy needed to cool off today, haha! I’ve always wanted to find a reflection pond inside of one and this year I finally did! That’s me in the entrance. Processing videos and worldwide tours information is on marcadamus.com. Thanks for stopping by!

That’s an aerial panorama of Onekotan island in northern Kurils chain. Incredible masterpiece of nature – volcanic cone inside ring lake. A place so hard to reach and exciting to explore.

A sunset long exposure looking north from Flamborough Head. These white cliffs are enormous, can you see the runner admiring the view on the cliff top?
