Arctic Bonfire by Arnd Kolleck
Arctic Bonfire by Arnd Kolleck
After a period with extremely cold nights this waterfall finally froze. It was the first time in years. While I was taking pictures the ice started to break and the very next day most of the ice was gone. So these two picked the perfect day for their arctic bonfire.
Thank you so much for your comments and likes. I wish you a great weekend.

Emerald Ecstasy! by Sunil
Emerald Ecstasy! by Sunil
A hidden gem from deep within the forests of eastern ghats in Kerala. The Vazhvanthol Waterfalls is a treat that awaits you after an arduous and treacherous trek to the edge of the forest. The forest calm shattered only by the noise of the cascading falls. An exhilarating experience and an ecstasy par excellence !

Follow me on Instagram @joseramosphotography for full descriptions and stories behind each image, including this one. Reaching impossible heights, the buildings of Nature rise persistently, challenging the strength of the elements, conquering space to the ocean, in a tough battle of magma and fire. We are privileged inhabitants of this absolutely incredible and unlikely place, which not only accepts with bravery the constant struggle of harboring its offspring, but is also still capable of offering us priceless sensations and visions, day after day. Location: Ponta de São Lourenço, Madeira Island Technical data: even though I used the widest ultra-wide angle lens on the market right now, I still couldn’t fit all the elements I wanted in the composition so, after doing my base exposure, I did a second exposure right after, showing a bit more of the sky, and stitched the two images Sony a7R + Laowa 10-18mm f4.5-f5.6 | Focal Length: 10.5mm | Aperture: f11 | Exposure: 8 seconds | ISO: 50 | Manual Focus | 4 stops full ND Nisi, 3 stops Reverse ND Grad Nisi | FLM Tripod
