I found that one of the best moments to visit the, often crowded, Arashiyama bamboo forest is when it is raining. The place is almost empty, you can take your time for every picture…. …and sometimes, you can see memorable moments like this.

Mystic sunrise by Martin Krajczy

Winter sunrise on a misty cold morning in northern Germany. This is a shot from the same location but a different place along this small riverbed. I really like this place as you can play with the light and the mist by just moving your position closer to the edge of the small forest. Here i moved closer to the edge to get more sun backlight within the frame. This changes the tones dramatically and creates a great warm mood. As a contrast i have the cold colors within the river .
