Less is more by Martin Krajczy
Less is more by Martin Krajczy
Very often less is more. The abundance of water in some regions is accompanied by the absence of water in other regions. In theses regions… This shot is taken early morning at the Epupa waterfalls in northern Namibia. It was still dark when i walked from our camp to the waterfalls with my head lamp. I check the pathway the day before at daylight but everything was different in the morning darkness. Suddenly the water noise got louder and when i looked down to my feet i recognized that is stood at the edge of the waterfall on a very high rock formation. So please take care if you go to such locations in the dark. I took this shot on my way back. I saw some Himba bathing close by in the lower water just before the waterfall…what a scene with the sun breaking through. Great moment … awesome backlight from the rising sun.
