I was very lucky to get a job in Breidavik Hotel last summer. I had this awesome view every day for more than two months, my boss was the best person in this world, and my colleagues were so much fun to work with. Also, I had this awesome views and a lot of opportunities to capture the beauty of the most unexplored side of Iceland, the province of the Westfjords. This was taken around midnight during one of the many white nights that we had.

During a hike in the night I came up with the idea to use the 6812m high Ama Dablam (Himalayas, Nepal) in combination with the last light of a full moon. The exposures of this shot have been taken during 2 different time of day because the spray from the waterfall only allowed an exposure between 5-10 seconds – which is too short for a technical descent night photo. It was a full moonset so I only had to wait for around 30 minutes before it was light enough to get the right exposure for the ground and water. There are still some spots open on the following workshops:
‘Greenland
‘Dolomites
