“Know what you want to do, hold the thought firmly, and do every day what should be done, and every sunset will see you that much nearer the goal.” ― Elbert Hubbard Sometimes we have the privilege to reunite in a single frame things that we love, so the result should be special and memorable. in my clumsy way of describing things here´s how I felt during this shooting. I hope that you like another of my storytelling, in this case a lullaby sang by the sun. You can visit my articles, tutorials and thoughts about photography ARTICLES I invite you to make part of our amazing Facebook group called Photo Reflections Group where everyone matters despite the level of your skills. And I always have an exclusive video for the members. Happy Shooting!

Follow me on Facebook | Instagram | My website | Contact me | Can’t wait to return to Iceland next June! “When all elements combine on a single landscape, photons start creating music, and visual dreams suddenly become real.” My second published Kirkjufell sunset shot. After sleeping inside the rental car in Keflavik (the plane arrived at 1am), I decided to head to Kirkujfell next day. I had seen this mountain so many times on 500px and other galleries, and yet it still kept me fascinated every single time with its singular shape, frequently adorned by beautiful waterfalls. As soon as I arrived I could feel my heart racing with the excitement, and I rushed to the spot and photographed it from many angles until it was absolutely dark. I’m not one who likes to brag about being “absolutely unique” on a certain place, creating his “own interpretations” of a scene, just for the sake of setting myself apart from other photographers. This photo is a great example of that. A Kirkujfell photograph with the three waterfalls is an image beaten to death? Well, under the perspective of online photography addicts or people with giant budgets, most certainly yes, but still only about 0,0000001% of photographers have the chance to visit such place, and 0,0001% of those will be able to do decent photos there. This is so much more about showing visions of nature than showing ourselves… Technical data: Sony a77 + Sigma 10-20mm

FacebookThis more recent trip down south to Oregon was one of my most memorable trips to date. When I had arrived in Bandon, Oregon. It was almost certain that I was going to catch the tail end of a storm. The rain and over cast skies had lingered around for several days leaving me with dramatic light and moody skies for almost every composition I shot. All though this location has been photographed by literally every photographer in the world, I never intended on photographing it until the light exploded that night. I remember I was walking down the beach looking at how grey and boring the sky was at the time. Suddenly a few moments into my walk and scout the clouds began to burn with a slight yellow and orange. I was right near the well known wizards hat! I did what I could to try and compose something fresh and new here with my own unique vision and processing. I exposed 2 shots for this final image. One exposure for the foreground, another exposure for the dynamic range and focus on the sea stack. Hillary Younger played a huge roll in helping me refine this image and give it a more clean process. One reason why I’m glad to call her my good friend and business partner
