Treated with this spectacular striated supercell with several layers in Montana on our last chase day this year’s expedition, what a day! Had to drive 1000km all night to Denver airport afterwards, but more than worth it 🙂 June 10th, 2016.

Follow me on Facebook | Instagram | Google Plus | My website | Contact me “Colossus” | Madeira Island, Ribeira da Janela “Against all odds, resisting through the passage of time. Resilience in Nature…” This is a fantastic place in Madeira Island, called Ribeira da Janela, where a water course descends from the mountains and ends right here. This has created a unique pebble beach, which is adorned by two gigantic rock formations that persistently resist the strength of the waves. I went to this place on my 2nd day in Madeira, during the 2014 trip, but light conditions were far from good. As I couldn’t let this one pass, I returned there two days later, and it was certainly worth it! Technical data: Exposure: 30 seconds Aperture: f9.5 ISO: 100 Tripod, remote shutter Manual focus 7 stop ND filter, 4 stop soft ND Grad

If you follow any of the popular Korean photographers on 500px or have seen their work on the front page, you have likely seen this location before. It is a reservoir in South Korea and is a very(!) popular spot for photography here especially in the Spring. Unfortunately, I wasn’t quite lucky enough to catch a beautiful sunrise when I visited this spot in 2015 as the sun never broke through the thick clouds and haze on this particular morning so I had to make due with the calm and cool pre-dawn light seen here. If you haven’t seen shots from this location before you will likely find a few if you search here for Korea and look at the photos with the highest pulse.

Rise and Fall by Daniel Greenw...
Rise and Fall by Daniel Greenwood
This image you see here is a series of experimentation I spent around an hour processing this file.. Trying out a few new things here and there at the same time been busy with my partners putting together our workshops and new websites for the end of the year. I have not had a whole lot of time for looking at imagery let alone taking my own photos, so my activity on this website has been very dismal. Back in 2013 was the year I decided to buy my first camera to start expressing and sharing my vision. Up until 2013 I had lived a pretty dark life style, always getting into trouble with the law never really having any idea of where I wanted to go in life. Over the period of a few years I have moved in many directions with my work as I began to evolve. I have always been absolutely obsessed with space and the universe. This mixed with my insane creative imagination has been the result to some of my vision and art. Being only a few years into my self taught journey of taking photos and processing them, I have learned a great deal of important things. One of the most important to me is it be yourself. We are all unique individuals and how we each choose to express our vision is up to us. Besides, how boring would it all be if we all just copied each other?
