Golden Punchbowl Falls, Oregon by Jimmy Mcintyre
Image edited using Raya Pro, the Photoshop plugin (Check Out Raya Pro Here) Punchbowl Falls, Oregon
I’m back in the U.S. After a great weekend speaking at the Out of Chicago photography conference, I’m on the road again. It was great to meet so many other photography nerds. After Chicago, I moved on to Oregon, which has some stunning greenery…and not to mention quite a few breweries 🙂 The water at the Punchbowl Falls was absolutely freezing, especially when you’re shooting quite a few long exposures. I was numb from the waste down!

Breath Deeply by Lizzy Gadd
Breath Deeply by Lizzy Gadd
“Child the time has come for you to go
You will never be alone
Every dream that you have been shown
Will be like living stone
Building you into a home
A shelter from the storm.”
-Josh Garrels This shoot felt more personal than usual, in the best way possible. Alone after a scramble up the mountain from our campsite, just before nightfall, silent but for the gentle breeze and my own thoughts. Overwhelmed. At peace. Excited. In awe. Everything at once. Using the inspiration to drive creativity. Using the creativity as a therapeutic release. Breathing in. Breathing out.
Embracing. Letting go. Feeling scared. Feeling good.
Alive. Life, eh? It’s weird.

The Red River by Max Rive

I was standing here pretty comfortable – the water levels were not high at all – in the river during a sunrise in TDP NP. I already tested this composition the day before and took it with the D800E, 14-24mm and CPL. I’m on my way to Norway now to do some scouting for an upcoming workshop around the Fjords of Norway. Arild and I will continue to explore each location so we can show everyone the best locations possible – which is something we do with all our workshops. You can already sign up for the mailing list in case you want to be part of it. My August Greenland Tours are fully booked but there are still spots left for the September tour. We have our own private boats including small private Zodiac boats. Contact me in case you are interested.
