www.patrickmarsonong.com A supposed to be clear boring morning turned to an awesome one. Love it when that happens! Fog slowly creeps in from the far side of the lake and as soon as the sun lit up the sand tufa’s, it awesomeness all over. So grabbed my waders and gumboots, went back to the same composition from the previous sunset, hoping to pull something different out of the ordinary. Hope you like it and feel free to share!

While hiking through these mountains in the dark its hard to imagine that in the relatively short historical past these mountains were home to tigers. Don’t think I would be out in the dark fumbling around over these hills if they still existed here today!

Back to the future! by Daniel Kordan

I have a spare week to process photos taken during my Svalbard marine expedition. Meanwhile I did not finish the story about my recent Altiplano expedition. I paused the story on the incredible moment of our adventure: we’ve found water on Salar Uyuni and came there in the night to make some astrophotofraphy. During this night we stayed at nice hotel in Uyuni, so on the way back we stopped at train cemetery. It’s especially incredible in the night, when it seems that steamed giants begin to live again, engines are running and the star dust runs through their pipes.
