Legend of Haifoss by Jkboy Jat...
Legend of Haifoss by Jkboy Jatenipat
Haifoss waterfall, the second highest waterfall of the island,
situated near the volcano Hekla in the south of Iceland. The river Fossá, a tributary of Þjórsá, drops here from a height of 122 m. There is a legend related to Háifoss waterfall. It goes like this: “An ogress lived in Háifoss (which used to be called Fossárfoss before it got its name in 1912). She lived on trout, which she caught in the waterfall. Once a teenage boy travelling with other travelers threw a rock into the river. That night the ogress went to the tent, where the travelers were sleeping, and tried to pull the teenage boy by his legs out of the tent. But his mates pulled him in the other direction by the upper part of his body. After a lot of tussle the ogress let the boy go and went away, but the boy was bedridden for a whole month from this maltreatment”. (Translated from the Folklore of Jón Árnason).

The new Meyer-Optik Trioplan 100mm lens is known for it’s stunning soap bubble bokeh but it also produces a beautiful, smooth, creamy bokeh. This shot was taken in deep forest shade and I was really impressed with the clarity and colours and of course, the bokeh. 🙂

Lavender’s Sky by Gonzal...
Lavender’s Sky by Gonzalo Navarro Bendito
Three friends and I drove together for almost two hours all the way to the north of the province of Murcia to shoot the lavender fields, which are located in a very low light-polluted place. We had less than 2 hours before the moonrise so we really had to hurry up. Since I wanted to take a panorama of the whole milkyway, I took 10 different vertical shots and blended them in photoshp afterwards. My friend Andrei is the one in the photo with the light. I hope you like the result of my first attempt to shoot the whole arch of the milkyway!
