On the Greek Island of Santorini, the village of Oia never ceases to impress – especially during a cloudy blue hour. To learn the techniques I used to shoot and post-process this image, you can find all the info about my new tutorial video series by visiting: bit.ly/landscape-tutorial

BRAND NEW instructional video!
NEW – Namibia Untamed
NEW – Lofoten Autumn & Aurora – With Stian Klo
Processing Instruction via Skype So imagine that you live with your extended family. Cousins, aunts, uncles, parents, siblings and your own kids. Then Imagine that you head out for vacation for a couple days, when upon returning home, your nephew is flirting with your wife. You’d probably be pretty upset and want to kick that bratty kid out of the house… but he’s stubborn and will fight you to stay in the house. That’s pretty much what happened here with these two lions. This was a pretty intense scene to photograph, dust flying everywhere and the loudest growling I had ever heard. Seriously sounded like two freight trains, with velociraptors at the helm, colliding into each other. Getting the photo was pure luck however. On this trip to Namibia, whenever an animal was in front of me I turned into nothing more than a tourist with a point and shoot. I knew nothing about wildlife photography. This feeling is especially amplified when shooting next to my friend and new boss Marsel Van Oosten. So to better my odds I put the camera in continuous mode and employed the spray-n-pray method. Luckily this happened to be in focus.

☼ Invisible Beauty ☼ by ☼ Eugene Banin ☼

This small homely butterfly you will not even notice. It will pass. Thousands of them fly in the meadows in the summer, live their small and short life. But it is necessary to approach it, look under high magnification and her clothes sparkle with all the colors of the rainbow, and color can be considered something like a crown!

Soon the nights in Northern Europe are dark enough for night sky and Aurora photography. I’m hoping the season to be great. This image is creative vision, edited from my last season images. Manual blend of 2 exposures.
