Sigöldugljufur, Iceland Sigöldugljufur is a canyon in the North of Landmannalaugar with many beautiful waterfalls where water exits from ledges of less porous rock in the lava – this canyon is not so easy to find, but the view is mind-blowing!

My wanderings around the Athens in Greece took me to this magnificent historic landmark, the Panathenaic Stadium, home of the first modern Olympic games. It was built 330 BC which places it among the 5 oldest stadiums in the world. It has the capacity to seat 45,000 people and is built entirely out of white marble. It was an overwhelming sight and such an experience to just be there, looking at the endless seating rows, defying the test of father Time.
