www.squiver.com One of the big advantages of having been to a place a million times before, is that you know exactly what’s going to happen when and where. In this case that enabled me to set up this composition just before the sun actually appeared above the dune line, and shoot a focus stack for the foreground. By the time I had finished with that, the sun had arrived and I shot several exposures for the exposure blend for the background. All in all, that took me less than five minutes. Edit: The 500px JPG compression is killing the fine detail like a blind elephant on speed. – – – This photography tour will be led by one of the finest landscape photographers here on 500px and beyond: Ryan Dyar. Ryan is not only a great guy to travel with, he is also a post-processing wizard, and he will show you a bunch of tricks to get the most out of your images.
