Hidden away in one of the most remote road-accessible areas of the vast Mojave desert lies a mountain range reaching high enough above the desert valleys to offer an incredible garden of variety in Cactus and those beautiful Joshua trees. One can explore miles of terrain on foot that looks just like this, catching beautiful backlight almost every evening. The hiking isn’t fast with thorns of all kinds, but the quality of light they offer is hard to pass up. This is a 3-shot vertical stitch with a 100mm lens because I left my 24-70 back in the truck and it was a bit of a hike. Each shot was focus stacked at f/18 with great difficulty, taking many hours in post processing. An additional middle shot was used at f/5.6 as well to eliminate any solar flaring there. Black background should be the obvious choice here…. thanks

The Tale of the Fisherman by A...
The Tale of the Fisherman by Adnan Bubalo
This december me and my friend made 6000 km and 15 days road trip from Oslo thru central Sweden, Finland and than to the northest point of the Europe Nordkapp. All that in Toyota Van 4×4 where we slept and cooked our meals Then we drove down to Senja and Lofoten and than back to Oslo thru the central Norway.
Norway’s remote Lofoten Islands provide the perfect setting for incredible photography opportunities, with soft winter light and majestic mountain landscapes rising from the sea. The Lofoten Islands are located above the arctic circle in Northwest Norway. Made up of deep fjords, craggy peaks, sandy beaches, and cute red fishing cabins, the islands are a wonderful location for landscape photography.
In this time of the year there is no sunset, but that does not mean you can’t make remarkable photographs during those 2-3 hours low day light. I was amazed by the beautiful landscapes all around. And beside all of this, when you see Aurora for the first time? Well, that is really so special experience.
