Lake Oberon
Tasmania I was first drawn to this area by images I saw from a group visiting here in 2015. See Luke Tscharke, Dylan Gehlken, Chris Wiewora and Gavin Owen’s images. It certainly didn’t disappoint when I finally arrived here last month after a 2016 trip had to be rerouted due to bushfires in the state. I have a series of images from this location and a nearby grove of Pandanis. Working in this area with other photographers can be a challenge not to get in each other’s way but I think the 4 of us managed that OK that morning . For reference, a red dot down below can be seen . This was one of our tents pitched on a beach along the lake shore. This is one of very few long exposures that I did for the trip as the drama I felt was much better captured in short exposures. Apologies for the series upcoming – it will literally be this scene with shifting light giving pretty different conditions.
As an aside, this was taken with the new Nisi v5pro holder which I have reservations about – I’ll address this in a blog post at a later date.
