The Path To The Sea by The Narratographer

Today, I decided to head out to see what the early morning had to offer. In hindsight, it wasn’t the best idea as I now have a stinking cold that simply won’t budge. However, I did come back with a trio of images that I am quite happy with.
However, the images as they appear here are not how they appeared at the time. When I arrived at Kimmeridge, the skies were quite bland and uninterested, with little in the way of colour or texture. But I snapped away, even though I didn’t particularly like what I saw before me. But when I got home, I was greeted to images of a place that cant have been the same as the one I was at this morning. Once again, the camera and filters have come to the rescue and proved even further that there is no real talent in taking images. I honestly did not spend much time thinking about what I was doing this morning. The composition was rushed, the technique was hackneyed and the filters I could barely be bothered with. But what I came away with was something I am actually quite happy with. But should I be proud of it? I don’t know. My only role really was to be there, the equipment took care of the rest. My camera is a much better photographer than I will ever be.

In the Mouth of Madness by Tim...

In the Mouth of Madness by Timothy Poulton

Something so freakish about Patagonia you feel like every day is straight out of a movie scene and you’re the star of the show. Wandering around the hike to Mirador Cuernos with menacing skies and gale force winds you certainly know your alive in those conditions and has all your senses on full alert. I’ve always been a big fan of changing conditions and have produced some of my best work under duress. Once we settled on a sweet composition, the heavens opened and within minutes, soaked to the core and in search of shelter, snapping off the final frames before cameras ruined I’d once again come away with something unique indeed. Returning to camp, I was a little concerned with the camera, and it’s weather sealing and to my delight found the gear stood up to the conditions. Still waiting for the first snow to fall and feel it’s only a matter of time before we get some winter scenes in Patagonia I’ve been craving for several seasons.
