frozen fjaorgljufur. iceland. The short hike to this view was chaotic! The wind was howling and blowing 40-50 miles an hour. It was blowing spindrift into our faces, which feels like tiny pieces of glass and sand on your face. It was soooo windy, that when @mariawendellstewart opened the door to our van, the wind fully ripped her out of her seat. She went superman horizontal, like she and the door were abducted by aliens.

Frankfurt’s banking district is the name given to an inner-city area of Frankfurt am Main where a large number of banks, insurance companies and other financial institutions are based. The financial district is not an independent district and therefore has no set boundaries. In general, parts of the western city center, the eastern station district and the southern west end are added to the banking district. Here are the most skyscrapers of the city and here is also the seat of several major German banks (Deutsche Bank, Commerzbank, DZ Bank, Landesbank Hessen-Thuringia) and the representative offices of numerous foreign institutions.

Strange how frost and mist interact. Little frozen drops afloat, but not like snow. Every branch, every straw gets a hardened edge, a piercing coat.
It only felt cold for a moment. An atmospheric scene from earlier December, now last year. I wanted to convey the feeling of a magical winter and ghostly glow with this picture. For that reason the brightness is subdued and the colors not too vibrant. It is difficult to bring back the actual way the scenery looked like, as the misty tones were even softer. Processing: white balance and brightening of a dark exposure. Not many experimental things here, apart from adding brightness to the sky and dodge to frosty areas of the trees to give more emphasis to them. Let me know what you think.
