The Owlets of Sunder Nursery. The young Owlets have grown big and would soon take to the nouctarnal sky. Here they crowd at the gates to have a good look at the world outside !

A puzzle for this scene was to find a perspective where none of the poles intersect. I am really satisfied that I actually found it! Score! Booyah! Anyway, being a landscape photographer is like a game where you constantly increase a bunch of skills. Cary loads of fancy equipment uphill? A boost to your strength and athletics! ..Okay, I couldn’t think of anything else, which maybe means that taking pictures is not the path to finding yourself after all, but the whole point here is that I learned how to predict the weather. Correction: how to guess the weather a bit more accurately. A lot of wind through the way and many high clouds usually means awesome sky formations. Weather forecast said that it would completely clear up just around sunset time. Gooood weather forecast. I figured that would give me at least a golden hour to shoot, but I got the whole sunset and shot a bunch of long exposures with these poles as a main motif. I have been wanting to shoot them as far as I can remember. Achievement unlocked.. Long exposure done with a bulb mode and a 10 f-stop nd filter.
