In summer there is a place where I go on vacation with the family as long as I can remember. It’s called Algarve and it’s in the south of my beautiful country, Portugal! Bathed by the Mediterranean Sea, the Algarve gives me the spirit I need to charge my batteries before returning for another season of work! It is there that I can calmly enjoy a fantastic Mediterranean lunch, preceded by a morning trip to one of its shiny and warm beaches! It is also there where I spend my August afternoons, reading the books that I bring with me whenever I can! But there is always a whisper that attracts me into this golden Algarve. Something that seems to call for me. It is clearly the limestone that runs along its coast and, certainly, the songs of the cicadas that live there that pull me in. Deep inside they know, they already saw me there! And I go, and I go at the best time of day, that is when it starts!

In this journey of ours, that is life, it is, more than we would like, many times that we walk through less happy or positive situations. It is, however, curious to see and feel that are those very moments that those who, like others, are around us, but come closer emanating fantastic and positive energy. Then we can quickly look at those moments as just another way of valuing others, the ones that bring us true happiness! It was what I remembered this day while contemplating another magnificent sunset.
I looked at that dark sand path, empty of water, bringing less happy times to my memory. The sun, immediately, like a friend or a brother who feels you too and who likes you just because he does, filled itself up with light, transforming into a massive star that quickly cheered me and made me rejoice with all that environment that was of great beauty! What an incredible journey our life is when we have good people around us!
Big love I do feel for these beautiful beings around me! They know who they are!
