Happy Chinese New year！ by Renee

It is Chinese New Year Eve today! Happy Chinese New Year! What a year we had in 2020… All the scheduled flights were canceled this year, spent nothing booked vacation along the coastline in Quebec, driving over 6,000km in the remote area… Got up almost every early morning for sunrise… Along the coastline, always had surprise, found falls along the river, the strongest waves I have ever seen… Also along the mountain valley, fall colors covered the mountains, reflected on the lake like mirror… 😉 Another driving trip, even far north, over 3,000km in the rural area, seldom saw people, but saw the sign “Be sure fill your gas because no gas station in the next 500km”… 😉 I had the most sunrise photos in 2020, at Niagara Falls, although most time there was no sun, but there was sun in my heart… 😉 As a healthcare worker, I felt the stress in 2020, even everything stops, we can not stop… Appreciate we are alive, healthy… What else we expect… 😉 Hope a better 2021! I have the most support and loyalty from my photography friends! Heartfelt thanks for all my dearest friends with me in 2020!!! 💕 今天是除夕！春节快乐！ 2020年终于过去了… 2020年：所有的预定航班都取消了，在魁北克的海岸线上开车度过了没有任何预订的假期，在偏远地区开车超过6,000公里……每天清晨看日出…… 见过了的最强的海浪…在山谷中，秋天的色彩斑斓，像镜子一样反射在湖上……😉 2020年拍过最多的尼亚加拉瀑布（Niagara Falls）的日出，尽管大多数时候没有阳光，但心中却有阳光…😉 作为一名医护人员，我感到了压力，即使所有一切都停止了，我们也无法停止……感恩我们还活着，健康……我们还期待什么哪……😉希望2021年更好！ 2020年得到摄影朋友的最大支持和忠诚！衷心感谢2020年您们的陪伴！祝愿身体健康万事如意 💕

The soul of nature Not that long ago I found my childhood paintings and that was a great discovery, because I painted lady-nature in different variations. I absolutely forgot about them and didn’t expect that this child vision would reflect in my work.
I’d like to tell you about the Spirit of the field. For me, this is an endless amount of flowers, the buzzing of bees, the quiet summer breeze, the heady aroma of flowers and herbs. They unite in a single fair, which I showed in my work. To me the field seems to be gentle, light and sparkling, shimmering by the rays of the sun and playing with fervent freshness. Its spirit is bright, free and at the same time very quivering. I like combinations of completely different colors that harmoniously fit into the full picture of nature. Waves photography is typically done with long lenses from a safe distance, or with dedicated waterproof equipment, which is absent in my arsenal. I foolheartedly decided to bring a wideangle into the scene for added drama and presence.
Inevitably, both the camera and I got completely drenched. I am happy to report that the equipment sustained no lasting damage.
