Historic Coal Plant in Spitsbergen by Yiannis Pavlis

In this plant until 1988, the coal from the coal mines in Spitsbergen was centrally collected. When planning and constructing the building, they took advantage of the fact that the pits in the surrounding mountains were higher than the central collection point. The downhill full Kohleloren on the cableway conveyors pulled back because of their higher weight, the lighter empty lore back to the mines.
