In the Portuguese Alentejo there is such a special place where you can walk on the water: Cais Palafítico da Carrasqueira, Comperta. That’s a mouthful. This seems to be the correct name because the place is often written in a number of other ways. It is without a doubt one of the most photogenic spots on the coast of Portugal. The place is also special because here you have a great view over the mouth of the river Sado.
