Hi again my dear friends. (^-^) It has been a while since my last post, but I had my hands full doing two shootings and reviewing and developing over 700 exposures. (naturally only a dozen or so turned out to be pretty nice) So back on the track, here we go with some more subsoil adventures, this time featuring my best friend, partner, therapist and my one and only Maya aka Birgit. I had to convince her for ages to pose for a shooting, and when the time was right (occasionally, a bottle of champagne get things working ^^) and the temper perfect we took the chance. The idea was to show a typical flamenco dancing scene with a least someone who knows what she is doing. °.° (I am crap as a musician ^^) Any suggestions how to improve or technical/compositional critiques are very welcome. Hope you enjoy the ride.

The ‘real’ Bonney ...
The ‘real’ Bonney by Dylan Toh & Marianne Lim
Lake Bonney , South Australia Earlier in the year I posted a garish version of this shot with OOF trees and chromatic aberration. I kind of expect that because of its thumbnail appeal, it might be a more ‘popular’ image than this more subtle version. Nonetheless , this is the one I prefer and it would be interesting to see just how much less popular it is (I’m already making a prediction lol) The other version is here : 500px.com/photo/71349859/ The ‘making of’ video is here: [Taking the shot at the scene]

Hi guys 🙂
Been a few days since my last upload, have been quite busy with other things than photography!
Here is a switched shot from Hamnøya in Lofoten looking into the mighty fjords and mountains of Moskenes 🙂 And the lights in the middle is a fishing boat that suddenly came and started fishing, in the middle of my frame! lol
Was a quite moody night and i hope it shows in the picture 🙂
Have a wonderful weekend everyone 🙂
Johnny 🙂

The Gift Tree by Sean Bagshaw
The Gift Tree by Sean Bagshaw
Deep in the Del Norte Redwoods on the Northern California coast there is a rhododendron growing from the snag of an ancient redwood. It is a fantastical scene which is often photographed, but I am still compelled to stop and take a photo every time I visit. Most years the rhododendron has very few flowers, but earlier this year I found it ablaze with blossoms, making this my favorite I have taken so far. In developing I made extensive use of luminosity selections and the TKActions Panel. If you are not familiar more information can be found here.
