A new industry report has revealed that wet British weather is threatening the future of the country's music festivals reports NME. Industry researchers ParcelHero have detailed in their latest report the effect of the rainy British weather on the country's festivals, reporting that during the particularly wet summer of 2012, 57 festivals were cancelled in total, representing 5.9% of the 929 festivals that were due to take place. Festivals still remain a large part of the UK's music culture however, with the report also confirming that over 14 million UK residents are planning to attend one or more of the 1,000 festivals taking place during 2016, with the industry now worth a huge £2.3 billion a year.
