The music festival has experienced its share of ups and downs since its inception by Perry Farrell in 1991. To see in its quarter-century, the festival is celebrating with a four-day lineup full of some of the music world's biggest names kicking off July 28. Lollapalooza, originally created as a traveling farewell tour for the band Jane's Addiction, first ran from 1991 to 1997, traveling across North America and inviting other musicians along the route. In 1998, no suitable headliner could be found.

Rock band Radiohead have called upon fans to help them create a music video for their latest album "A Moon Shaped Pool," with entries to be collated via the group's Instagram account. The band, which has posted artist-created vignettes for each album track to their Instagram account every Friday since the album launched, has now requested their followers to contribute to the last vignette, noted music publication NME. To enter, fans must first download the audio for Radiohead's new version of "Daydreaming," before uploading their creation to Instagram with the hashtag #rhvignette.

The historic Gendarmenmarkt square in Berlin is preparing to celebrate the 25th edition of the annual Classic Open Air music festival with a variety of genres performed by world-famous artists July 21-25, 2016. Surrounded by the classical architecture of the Konzerthaus (Concert hall), the Französischer Dom (French Cathedral) and the Deutscher Dom (German Cathedral), the annual outdoor music festival is watched over by a statue of the renowned German poet Friedrich Schiller. Highlights include Ute Lemper, Eva Lind, Anna Goryachova and Katarzyna Dondalska.
