Lin-Manuel Miranda to partner with Oscar-winner Alan Menken on music for “The Little Mermaid” reboot

American actor, composer, rapper and writer Lin-Manuel Miranda has signed on to co-produce and write songs for Disney's live-action reboot of "The Little Mermaid". The move will see Miranda working alongside Oscar-winning composer Alan Menken, whose credits include scores to Disney hits such as the original animated "The Little Mermaid", "Beauty and the Beast" and "Aladdin". Menken also wrote the iconic songs "Under the Sea" and "Part of Your World" with the late Howard Ashman for the original 1989 soundtrack (via Billboard).
